So, I was diagnosed on the 19th of July after 9 days of symptoms. I am now on an antibiotic for 3 weeks with 1 week to go. All my symptoms have pretty much gone away except for incredible lethargy. What now? Are there any precautions I should take? Has anyone had this experience and still subsequently came down with chronic Lyme? |

Comment: Hello,My daughter had a bullseye (she was 9). She really didn't have any symptoms at first aside from the rash. The pediatrician put her on 28 days of amoxicillin and while on it she began to get symptoms (sore throats, body aches, headaches). When she was done with the amoxicillin they put her on 28 days of Doxycycline and about 2 weeks before she was done with the dose, she was better. Unfortunately, we didnt find out until it was to late that she should have been on the doxy much longer past the point of her feeling better. Exactly 6 months later she was sick again with the same symptoms and it has been 3 years of hell so far. I know that not everyone is the same and some people can take one 28 days course and be fine, but I would make sure your doctor is Lyme literate and knows what he is doing.
