President Bush had (HAS?) Lyme Disease
Posted on: 08-11-2007 @ 09:00 pm

Perhaps this is the "window" I've been praying everyday for God to open for Lyme Disease sufferers everywhere.  We absolutely have to use this "window" before it closes.

The most powerful man in all of the free world has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease.  This is our chance to bring the truth out.  Please think, think, think (I know that's so difficult while suffering with chronic neurologic Lyme Disease).  Lets pool our ideas on how to make the most of this.

What if President Bush didn't get quite enough antibiotics after his rash appeared?  What if he was made aware of what can happen if his doctors didn't give him enough?  What if he was made aware of how lucky he was to present with a classic bulls-eye rash that he noticed and his doctors could diagnose, and what would happen to him if that had not been the case?  What if his team of top medical specialists had to "argue" about what constituted adequate treatment for the president's Lyme Disease, and he was made aware of this?

What if they had to admit to the president how much controversy there is over this disease, how little research is funded by government resources, how very devastating it can be...how easy it is to contract and how hard it is to diagnose?

This is our big chance!  Let's put our heads, hands and hearts together and make the most of this NOW...while it is still fresh from the headlines.

What should we do?  Talk to me.

Laura Rendone

Comment: Sent an email to local paper yesterday. it was a press release created by member in our lyme support group.

Phyllis with CALDA also created a press release that was sent to papers in CA.

Do you belong to a yahoo group for your state?

Hopefully, they have a press release going too.

I am rather discouraged about this. Lots of talk on the lyme websites but feel it will be lining the bird cages soon.

My hope is still with Columbia Research Center.

But, it does not hurt to do what we can.

If interested, i can copy and paste CALDA's press release and AZLDA's press release here.

Have also posted on the AOL site when they covered the story.

Others have posted on the MSN site when they covered the story.

Comment:
Alternative Care Excluded

It’s curious to note that most coverage on Bush’s lyme disease limits their discussion to just one treatment option - antibiotics.  They never mention that he is under regular chiropractic care – one of many safe and effective treatment plans used by lyme victims to improve their immune systems and recover from the ravages caused by this bacterial infection.

Think this is due to the media’s reporting being filtered and overly influenced by their number one advertiser – pharmaceutical companies?

Comment: I was talking to my brother yesterday and he felt the same way and may write letters. For me, I think its all been swept under the rug and it seems to have already fizzled out. If Bush still has lyme they will do all they can to deny it or keep the lid on it. A tiny bit of lyme awareness came out of it, but wouldn't it be amazing if Bush made one of his causes lyme awareness. I think I may be dreaming, but you never know. I am not convinced he is cured and am watching him closely. He does not look well if you ask me. Maybe he had lyme before and that's why he messes up words. A good friend said something funny the other day, she said maybe the Iraq war is Bushes lyme rage, "were going to win damnit!"
